They're the former apartments of Pope Julius II, which were decorated by the genius painter Raphael. It's a frescoes domination there, most important being the Stanza della Segnatura, coz it hosts two of Raphael's works: "The School of Athens" and "Disputation of the Sacrament". Idea: for avoiding the museum's 12 euros tax, sneak in on the last Sunday of the month - it's a free day!
