hans's question:
What should I expect to see in the Vatican Palace? Any visiting hints? thanks a lot :)))(give a different answer) .
The palace is an immense labyrinth, covering a 5 hectares area. It gathers all sorts of museums, a Map Gallery, a Tapestry Gallery, Greek and Roman antiques forming the Museo Pio-Clementino. Exihibits usually consist of treasures that belonged to the generations of popes. Take a museum booklet if you want to do some serious visiting; there are one-hour routes and five hour routes. The disadvantage is that you can't go back if you skipped something, that's the Palazzo rule to avoid tourists' jams.
